HOW E-COMMERCE INTEGRATION WORKS

Integration Architecture

Sync Method

Sync Method

Order and inventory events sync in real-time via webhook as they occur on the connected platform — new orders, cancellations, refunds, and inventory adjustments propagate immediately. Product catalogue and pricing sync on a configurable schedule (default: every 15 minutes for inventory levels, nightly for full catalogue updates). Bulk historical sync is available during initial setup to import existing product and order data.

Authentication

Authentication

Shopify, BigCommerce, Vend, Amazon, and eBay use OAuth2 — users authorise via the platform's own login screen, no credentials stored in Hykmah. WooCommerce and Magento use REST API authentication with API keys generated in the platform and configured in Hykmah. Catch.com.au uses API key authentication. All credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256.

Data Mapping & Transformation

Data Mapping

Standard mappings cover: products, variants, pricing, inventory levels, orders, customers, refunds, and fulfilment status. Platform-specific fields (e.g. Shopify metafields, Magento custom attributes, Amazon ASINs) are mapped during setup. Multi-location inventory is supported — stock levels per warehouse or location sync independently. Tax and currency mappings are configurable per platform.

Multi-Entity & Multi-Currency

Inventory Conflict Resolution

When inventory changes occur simultaneously across multiple connected platforms, Hykmah resolves conflicts using a last-write-wins model with configurable safety stock buffers. A buffer can be set per platform to prevent overselling — for example, reserving 5 units from the available pool before syncing to marketplace channels.

Multi-Entity & Multi-Currency

Error Handling

Failed webhooks are retried automatically (3 attempts with exponential backoff). Catalogue sync failures (e.g. missing required fields, platform validation errors) are flagged in the integration dashboard with the specific error and affected SKUs. Users receive email notifications for persistent failures. Failed orders queue for manual review — no orders are lost.

Sell Everywhere, Manage From One Place

Unified Financial Data

Unified Inventory

Inventory levels sync across all connected sales channels in real-time. When stock changes on any channel — sale, return, or adjustment — all other connected platforms update automatically, preventing overselling and stockouts.

Inventory & Order Accuracy

Centralised Order Management

Orders from every connected platform flow into Hykmah in real-time. One view of all orders regardless of where the sale originated, with unified fulfilment, customer communication, and accounting sync.

Multi-Entity Consolidation

Product Management at Scale

Update product details, pricing, and descriptions once in Hykmah and sync changes to all connected channels automatically. No manual updates across multiple platform backends.

How Businesses Use E-Commerce Integrations

Real-world examples across franchise operations, subscription billing, and wholesale distribution.

Multi-Channel Retail

Retailers use Sellwise to manage their product catalogue centrally while selling on Shopify, Amazon, and eBay simultaneously. Inventory syncs in real-time across all channels — a sale on Amazon immediately reduces available stock on Shopify and eBay.

Omnichannel Commerce

Businesses with physical stores connect Vend POS with Sellwise to offer buy online, pick up in store (BOPIS) with real-time inventory visibility across both channels.

Australian Marketplace Expansion

E-commerce businesses already selling on Shopify add Catch.com.au as an additional channel through Sellwise, syncing their existing product catalogue and managing marketplace orders alongside their own store orders.

B2B Wholesale

Wholesale businesses use BigCommerce connected to Sellwise to offer self-service ordering portals with custom pricing tiers, bulk ordering, and account-based inventory visibility.
